| Welcome to the Bare Bones site! The band is no longer together, but this site is a retrospective of the good times we had, and good music that we made. Thanks to everyone who supported us through the years! Bare Bones was originally a solo demo tape of Frank's songs made in 1996. It progressed into various acoustic duos, then into jams with friends. A full band was soon assembled that featured members of such acts as Bonedippers, Stone Soup, The Urban Squirrels, Buddhahood, and The Aftershocks from San Francisco. Various members have opened shows for the likes of Spin Doctors, Johnny Winter, AWB, The Wailers, Toots and the Maytals, and Leon Russell. Bare Bones combined different styles of music including rock, reggae, and funk, and the live shows ranged from high energy to ethereal melodies.
